Mercer & Associates named ‘top multi-adviser practice in the Liverpool area’

We are thrilled to announce that St. James’s Place Wealth Management have named Mercer & Associates the top multi-adviser practice in the Liverpool area for 2021.

The award was judged on the basis of overall Practice Quality standards, with both our Client Servicing and Quality of Advice Documentation rated 100%. This, combined with our high levels of new business acquisition, put Mercer & Associates at the forefront of 86 other North West practices.

The award is welcome recognition of the hard work the entire team have put into serving clients over the last two years. We have invested both our time and finances in building an IT and digital infrastructure to enhance our client’s experience. At the start of the pandemic all contact was face-to-face or via letter; now we can offer a range of digital communications that are more convenient and reassuring for our clients. It has been a seismic, but rewarding change – as we are now more engaged with our clients than ever before.

Our Client Servicing rating also reflects our efforts to reassure and support clients through a tumultuous year. With markets in flux, it has been a time for concern for many, but we have been in touch throughout the pandemic, encouraging calmness and protecting their financial futures. During regular digital workshops, we also helped clients access St James Place specialists with the right knowledge and experience to drive home the reassurances.

Whilst some businesses have struggled to accommodate the changing landscape, Mercer & Associates has grown stronger. We have taken on new clients and new team-members. Shalini Kanap has recently joined the practice as an Adviser, alongside Darren and David, and she is working towards Chartered status under their mentorship.

Shalini joins esteemed company. In addition to this team award, we are also so proud to announce that our Chartered Financial Planner, David Glaister, was also awarded Practice Adviser of the Year 2021. This reflects David’s personal commitment to excellent client service, and we’re delighted for him.

Of course, our Advisers are only part of the recipe for success. Much of the client servicing and documentation quality that won us this recognition is performed by our wider office team, all of whom had to adapt to working remotely and under new pressures. We are very proud of everyone’s efforts.

Everything we have done in the winning of these awards has taught us something for the future. We have learned the value of accommodating people, and we have come out of the last year with far stronger relationships with our clients. We aim to repeat this success award year on year, as it demonstrates that we are doing things the right way – giving the right advice, and the right guidance for our clients.
