David joined Mercer & Associates in September 2019, having previously advised clients since 2004. He is Diploma qualified and became a Chartered Financial Planner in 2020.

David was a financial adviser with HSBC for several years, predominantly advising business owners. More recently, David was employed by a large Chartered Accountancy Practice, where he enjoyed nearly 9 years advising business owners, families and trustees on all aspects of Wealth Management.

David is a great proponent of working with fellow legal and financial professionals, to ensure all client’s financial planning needs are comprehensively managed.

David prides himself on taking the time to really listen and understand what his clients want to achieve. He can clearly articulate often complex financial concepts, in a manner appropriate to an individual clients’ level of experience.

In his spare time, David enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, cycling and more often than not (unfortunately) being disappointed by the performance of Newcastle United!
